As you can probably tell we love a good blog post. A chance to spew all the thoughts out from in our heads as we tap away on a key board. So what better way to tell you a little more about The Artisan Baby Co Christmas Fair.

The first Artisan Baby Co fair back in July was a huge success, Claire and I were totally overwhelmed by the queue of visitors we had when the doors opened, despite the rain and awful weather. Our hearts soared as stall holders booked there and then to return for our next event. We had such amazing feedback and we learnt soooo much that we couldn’t not return for a winter fair!

On the 8th December we will be returning to Delapre Abbey with doors opening for general admission at 10.30 and VIP access at 10am. This time we have gone bigger and better and will be filling the Medieval rooms as well as the Bouverie Rooms, so not only can you have an explore of the history filled Delapre you can have a shop as well!

Our taster sessions sold out last time (so don’t delay in booking) and on the 8th we will be hosting 5 amazing sessions for parents to be and babies. We feel taster sessions are so important as you get to experience what a class is truly like before signing up to a full term. There is no pressure from the class leaders to sign up, they just want to spread the word about the amazing work they do. Relax and unwind with Ripple Effect Yoga who will talk you through the benefits of pregnancy yoga (trust me this is a good pregnancy class and I swear by it for helping me through my pregnancy). Learn about what hypnobirthing is with The Birth Uprising and practice some techniques, spend time bonding with your bump and mentally preparing for the huge transition that awaits you.

For the babies we have the fun and active Baby Sensory Northampton, full of stimulating activities and sensory play. Massage those tiny toes and watch as your little one relaxes and enjoys a taster of Baby Reflexology with Bump and Baby Reflexology. Or learn massage techniques to help settle and soothe and spend precious time bonding with bubba in Baby Massage with Huddle and Bliss.

Taster classes are pre-bookable (follow link) only as health forms must be completed for most activities. The taster costs £4 but this is booked as part of the VIP ticket and your not limited to one taster! Just buy your £4 VIP ticket for one of the taster sessions and then drop us an email or Facebook message for the other tasters you want to enjoy. So you can do more than 1 taster for the £4 ticket price! Now if that isn’t value for money I don’t know what is! Book tickets here!

We are bringing back talks as well to the December fair and we have been listening to what you would like to learn about. So we are very excited to have Daisy First Aid Northampton discussing first aid in small children and Starting Solids supported by Babease with some top weaning tips. We feel both of these are invaluable and guess what they are completely free when booked with an admission ticket. Talk spaces are limited so please book in advance, just drop us a message!

I have already mentioned the VIP ticket so let me tell you a little more about what to expect, you have access to the fair 30mins before anyone else, this is from 10am and you will enjoy half and hour of a quieter shopping experience, access to book all 5 tasters if you wish, plus a free Goody Bag. Whats in the goody bag I hear you cry, well its sooo good, I want one for myself! Packed in a branded Artisan Baby Co tote shopper are lot’s of money off vouchers from most of our exhibitors. A sample pack from Mindful Mum Box full of calming, positive vibes, a copy of Happiful magazine. Hot Tea Mamma have sent tea samples and Little Fawn Box are sending mini sample bags packed with a notebook memory cards and a facemask. There are always some late additions so keep following the event Facebook page for a full update closer to the time.

Who doesn’t love a competition because we certainly do! Every paying adult who attends the fair will be given a ticket, treasure that ticket with your life as you will be entered into a raffle with only one winner but my gosh the prize is a good one! We ask our exhibitors to contribute to a hamper and the hamper is currently looking sooo good, more details to be announced closer to the time.

Supporting worthy causes and the local community is at the heart of what we do so we are honoured to be partnering with Baby Basics Northampton for our newborn amnesty. We are asking all visitors to bring along new or nearly new baby clothes and bedding, blankets and towels and brand new unused toiletries for mum and baby. Donate them into the amnesty bins and know you have helped a family in need this Christmas.

We have to do a huge shout out to our show Sponsor Love and Life Studio who have been a great support throughout the planning process. Not only is Laura a total babe she is an amazing photographer with the loveliest Bedfordshire studio.

But of course the main reason you should come along to the Christmas fair is to meet our amazing exhibitors, from nursery furniture, to bibs, to matching PJS. From Swimming lessons, to massage classes to breast feeding support. From Sling clinics, to yummy cakes to bespoke hand made clothing and cool breast feeding tees. From toys, to hand made prints to bamboo plates. We have collated the best brands for soon to be parents, parents and little ones. Make sure you bring your purse as there is no way you can leave empty handed. For a full list of exhibitors head to our events page.

So join us on the 8th December for a baby and toddler fair with a difference, filled with brands we honestly love and believe in.
